Owen Hurd
President
Prior to co-founding TUUSSO Energy, Owen spent three years at McKinsey & Company, focused on operations strategy and corporate finance-related initiatives for semiconductor manufacturers and large technology clients. Before this, he served as interim President of a venture-funded wireless startup, with Board-level responsibility for the company’s restructuring. Additional experience includes operations finance at Intel Corporation and strategy consulting in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Energy Practice. Owen has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BSc in Finance from Santa Clara University.

Vivek Nayak
Vice President of Operations
Vivek has over nine years of strategy, business development and product management experience in the technology and management consulting sectors. Before TUUSSO, he worked in business development and operations at Intellectual Ventures from 2008-2009 and at Bain & Company from 2005-2008. While at Bain, he worked extensively with private equity, industrial products and healthcare clients focusing on corporate and growth strategy, business planning and acquisitions due diligence. Prior to that, Vivek worked at Dassault Systemes, a provider of non-linear simulation and design tools to the engineering industry. Vivek has an MBA from the University of Chicago, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay.

Before co-founding TUUSSO, Jason spent two years at Western Digital, a leading computer storage manufacturer, managing and growing a portfolio of 200+ patents, negotiating in- and out-licenses, and overseeing work from numerous law firms. He also has four years of law firm experience representing early-stage and mature companies in intellectual property and contract issues. Jason has a JD from the University of Chicago and a BA in Physics from Pomona College.
