The Egret Project is a 15MWac photovoltaic power plant located in Wicomico County, MD.
Initial development work began in late 2012 and the project achieved commercial operation in 2016. The plant uses polycrystalline photovoltaic modules and single axis trackers to generate ~29 GWh per year, enough electricity to power ~2,300 homes.
The project is currently owned by Marina Energy, a subsidiary of South Jersey Industries.
